Attendees who are driving may go directly to the Morris Inn or Embassy Suites and receive instruction on where to park from the front desk.

Morris Inn

• Note: There is a complimentary or paid parking option at this hotel. Attendees electing paid parking will be responsible for the $18 per night parking fee.
• Parking: If electing complimentary parking, allow at least 15 additional minutes to park your vehicle and get to the location of the first session.

• Note: Attendees needing to park a vehicle will be responsible for the $12 per night parking fee.

The conference begins at 12 noon (EDT) on Monday, June 29 at the Downes Club in Corbett Family Hall on the University of Notre Dame campus. Enter Corbett Family Hall at Door 4 and the Downes Club is on the seventh floor. Please do not arrive to the Downes Club before 11:30 a.m.

On the second day of the conference (Tuesday, June 30), attendees will have the opportunity to participate in one of the following optional tours on campus:

Exploring the Cosmos

Since the 1930s, Notre Dame has been a leading player in the study of nuclear structure. The Nuclear Structure Lab in Nieuwland Science Hall presently contains four low and medium energy particle accelerators that enable a wide range of studies from fundamental nuclear physics to applied work in archaeology, environmental science, and nuclear astrophysics. The second part of the tour will move to Jordan Hall of Science for a “show” at the recently-updated Digital Visualization Theater (DVT). The DVT, a “digital planetarium,” has the unique ability to immerse viewers in high-resolution, high-fidelity images projected on its 50-foot dome. Real-time rendering allows the audience to “fly” through space, whether that is the inside of a molecule, the solar system, or the large-scale structure of the universe.

Play Like a Champion

Explore some of Notre Dame’s prized athletic facilities. In Notre Dame Stadium—the house that Rockne built—you’ll see the football team’s locker room and the famous Play Like a Champion Today sign. And while football is definitely popular, the fencing team, which competes in the Castellan Family Fencing Center, has the most NCAA titles at the University with an impressive 16 team championships, including this year's men's and women's titles. The program has also produced 51 individual NCAA champions. Of course, since we are in Indiana, basketball is also top of mind for sports fans here. The Rolfs Athletics Hall houses the basketball practice facilities for our men’s and women’s basketball teams. The women won NCAA titles in 2001 and 2018.

Raclin Murphy Museum of Art

Opened in 2023, the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art is the location for Notre Dame’s art collection, which is celebrating its 150 year anniversary in 2026. The building incorporates several site-specific works commissioned by major international artists, a working chapel, and provides three stories of galleries, educational spaces, and gathering spaces for visitors. In addition to outstanding collections of European and American art, the museum is known for its collection of indigenous art of the Americas and its African collection.

Sacred Spaces

As a Catholic institution, faith plays an important part in everything we do at Notre Dame. The intimate Log Chapel (a replica of the original that was on the land when founder Rev. Edward F. Sorin, C.S.C., first arrived to South Bend) that sits beside Saint Mary’s Lake is still very active, offering masses and hosting baptisms and small weddings regularly. Tucked in the back of the chapel are artifacts that date back to Notre Dame’s founding. A short distance away is the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. The cave of candles is a one-seventh scaled replica of the grotto in Lourdes, France and features a stone from its namesake. This spot provides a peaceful respite for those on campus to pray and reflect whether it’s for an impromptu visit or the daily praying of the rosary. Just up a small hill sits the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the cross on its spire being the tallest point on campus. The Basilica, consecrated in 1888, serves as the University Church for Notre Dame and the mother church for the Congregation of Holy Cross in the US. It is the tallest university chapel in the US.

Stacks and Artifacts

Named after transformative university president Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., (known to everyone as “Fr. Ted”) the Hesburgh Library has become the “academic heart” of the University that he envisioned. The tour will visit Fr. Ted’s “retirement” office, preserved as he left it, which is filled with hundreds of objects and memorabilia from his 35 years as president of Notre Dame and his relationships with many US presidents and world leaders. The tour will also explore elements of the collection of the University’s holdings of rare books, ranging from medieval manuscripts to sports history, and a close-up look at the iconic “Word of Life” mural, otherwise known as “Touchdown Jesus.”

Each participant is responsible for their own travel to and from the conference. While the conference is in session, the University of Notre Dame will provide transportation between meetings, as needed. For further information, please refer to the "Travel & Transportation" section of the conference website.

The ACC ALN conference attire is typically described as "smart/business casual." As you pack, consider practical and professional attire with clothing layers that account for the warm days, cooler evenings, and cold meeting rooms due to air conditioning. Bring comfortable shoes for walking, and backup clothes and shoes in case of rain showers.

Yes, meals will be provided during the conference beginning with lunch on Monday and ending with lunch on Wednesday. Please note your dietary needs in the registration form.

The conference will conclude on July 1 by noon at the Monogram Room in the Joyce Center.

The walk from the Morris Inn to the Joyce Center is between 10–15 minutes.

For arranging a car service pick up, the address for the Joyce Center is 113 Moose Krause Circle, Notre Dame, IN 46556.

Yes, parking will be available onsite at both hotels.

There is a complimentary self-parking option a short walk from the hotel or you may park directly at the Morris Inn parking lot for $18 per night, which will be billed to guests upon check-out.

While we hope to have all attendees stay at the Morris Inn on campus, based on registration numbers we may need to utilize Embassy Suites that is adjacent to campus. Shortly after registration closes, we will notify all registrants of their assigned hotel.  

Yes, you may request additional nights (Sunday, June 28 or Wednesday, July 1). Please note that the University of Notre Dame will only cover the cost of your stay on Monday, June 29 and Tuesday, June 30. Any additional nights will be at your own expense and will need to be noted on your registration so your reservation can be extended.

Attendees are responsible for incidentals and parking fees. Attendees will be required to provide a credit card at check-in to cover any additional charges beyond the covered room cost.

The University of Notre Dame will cover the cost of rooms for participants and liaisons for the nights of Monday, June 29 and Tuesday, June 30 at the Morris Inn or Embassy Suites and will make reservations on behalf of the group. You will indicate your need for a room reservation using the registration link emailed to you. If you need accommodations for additional nights (Sunday, June 28 or Wednesday, July 1) you may indicate that when completing your registration. Please note, the cost of the additional nights are the responsibility of the participant. If you do not require accommodations for any nights, please indicate that on your registration form.

Please note that while you will need to provide a credit card at the hotel upon check-in, this is solely to cover any incidentals or additional nights beyond the two nights that are covered. You will not be charged for the two nights that are included in the conference accommodation coverage.

Yes, both hotels have workout facilities available.

The Morris Inn has a small fitness center onsite that is open 7:00 a.m.-10:00p.m. daily. Additionally, Morris Inn guests may utilize a guest pass at the University's Smith Center for Recreational Sports. The Smith Center is open Monday-Wednesday from 5:45 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and located in the Duncan Student Center. Information about obtaining a guest pass for the Smith Center is available at the Morris Inn front desk.

Embassy Suites has a fitness center that is open 24 hours. There is also a pool available from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. daily.

Wi-Fi is available via the Eduroam wireless network and ND-Guest wireless network.

South Bend weather in late June/early July is typically warm and humid. Expect daytime high temperatures to be in the low- to mid-80s (F), while evenings cool down the low 60s (F).
